Illumine Pre-hab and Recovery
Chiropractic is recognized as one of the safest, drug-free, non-invasive therapies available for the treatment of neuromusculoskeletal complaints. One of the most researched conservative techniques shown to be very effective at restoring proper motion in joints throughout the body. Healthy joint motion is imperative to maintaining quality movement throughout and with the entire body, and to reduce the stress and risk of injuries in the spine and extremities. Dr. Damir utilizes full spine and body adjustments, meaning that he treats back pain, as well as pain in the joints of your arms and legs.
Active Release Technique (ART®)
Active Release Technique® or ART®, is a state of the art soft tissue system that is movement based. The technique is used to treat problems that involve the muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves.
The goal of ART® is to restore optimal texture, motion, and function of the soft tissue and release any entrapped nerves or blood vessels. This is accomplished through the removal of adhesions or fibrosis in the soft tissues via the application of specific protocols. Adhesions can occur as a result of acute injury, repetitive motion, and constant pressure or tension. ART® eliminates the pain and dysfunction associated with these adhesions. Dr. Damir is full body certified for active release protocols, and has been utilizing ART to help athletes recover from injuries, as well as common overuse maladies.
Functional Dry Needling
Dry Needling involves multiples advances of a filament needles (similar to acupuncture needles) into the muscle in the region of a “trigger point”. The goal of dry needling is to achieve a local twitch response to release muscle tension and pain. Dry needling is an effective treatment for chronic pain of neuropathic origin with very few adverse effects. Research supports the use of dry needling for improvement of pain, reduction of muscle tension, and an accelerated return to active rehabilitation.
Functional Range Conditioning®
Functional Range Conditioning or FRC® is a mobility system that maximizes joint health, mobility, body control and movement potential using scientific methods. The goal of FRC® is to help you develop the necessary prerequisites for effective human movement. This involves using a systematic joint-by-joint assessment to accurately identify movement capacity at every joint in the body. The weak links in the chain can then be improved for optimum human movement.
Kinesiology Taping with RockTape
Rocktape is a brand of kinesiology tape that is effective in turning down the volume on pain, decompressing an area of swelling and inflammation, delaying muscle fatigue, normalizing muscle tone and distributing physical stress. RockTape allows full movement of a taped area, allowing athletes to express full movement potential.
